Captain Marvel on March 8, 2019

We are days away from the United State release of Captain Marvel, let check on the first appearance of Carol Danvers in the comic book. When a movie is announced, the first appearance of that comic book goes up in value. The book keeps going up in value until about one month of the release. We are now just days away from the release. Before we check on the values, let’s go over the Captain Marvel movie.

The film will be released on March 8, 2019. Filming took 75 days.  The story is about Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) based in 1990’s. At the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury seemed to summon Captain Marvel for help.

On Tuesday, September 5 pictures of Captain Marvel was finally released.  The picture is courtesy from Entertainment Weekly. The costume looks good. Very close to the art.

This blog will talk about Captain Marvel. Check out the past blogs for the rest of the characters in the movie. Brie Larson nabbed the role of Carol Danvers. She is an American actress famous for her roles in 21 Jump Street (2012) and Trainwreck (2015).

Carol Danvers first appeared in Marvel SuperHeroes #13 (March 1968) published by Marvel Comics written by Roy Thomas and drawn by Gene Colan. She became Captain Marvel when her DNA was fused with Kree superhero Mar-vell in an explosion. She has superhuman strength, speed and agility. In addition to her name Captain Marvel, she is also known as Binary, Warbird, and Ms. Marvel.

We have another picture of Brie Larson wearing her Captain Marvel uniform telling people to vote on Election Day.

We have another still picture of Brie Larson as Captain Marvel.

A  copy of Marvel Superheroes #13 CGC 9.2 sold for $5,995 on June 10.  A copy of Marvel Superheroes #13 CGC 9.2 sold for $5,600 on August 9. It went down by $400? Another copy of Marvel Superheroes #13 CGC 9.2 sold for $5,300 on January 20. It went down by $300? There hasn’t been any recent sales since January 20. I would believe the hype of the movie is over. Collectors have move on to the next hype movie.
