Still picture of Nick Fury in Captain Marvel

Nick Fury in Captain Marvel

Filming has wrapped up for Captain Marvel according to the directors, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The film will be released on March 8, 2019. Filming took 75 days, now it is onto CGI. The story is about Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) based in 1990’s. At the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury seemed to summon Captain Marvel for help.

On Tuesday, September 5 pictures of Captain Marvel were finally released.  This picture is courtesy from Entertainment Weekly. This blog will talk about Nick Fury.. Check out my earlier blogs about Carol Danvers, and Captain Mar-vell.

We have another still picture of Nick Fury.

Nick Fury (played by Samuel Jackson) don’t need no introduction. He first appeared in Iron Man (2008) at the end credits about forming an Avengers team with Tony Stark. Nick has appeared in seven other Marvel movies afterward. He will play a bigger role in the Captain Marvel. They will make him look 25 years younger.

Nick Fury first appeared in Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos #1 (May 1963) published by Marvel Comics and written by Stan Lee and drawn by Jack Kirby. He has skilled armed and unarmed combat skills.

Even though Nick Fury has a large role in Captain Marvel, don’t think  that comic book will have too much of a price bump since he has appeared in lots of earlier movies.

A copy of Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos #1 CGC 2.5 sold for $311.12 on July 2.  A  copy of Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos #1 CGC 1.8 sold for $261.00 on August 16.  Couldn’t find any CGC 2.5 nor CGC 1.8 sold lately, but a recent copy of Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos #1 CGC 3.5 sold for $490.59 on January 3.
