Still picture of Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel



Filming has wrapped up for Captain Marvel according to the directors, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The film will be released on March 8, 2019. Filming took 75 days, now it is onto CGI. The story is about Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) based in 1990’s. At the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury seemed to summon Captain Marvel for help.


On Tuesday, September 5 pictures of Captain Marvel were finally released.  This picture is courtesy from Entertainment Weekly. This blog will talk about Minn-Erva. Doctor Minerva first appeared in Captain Marvel #50 (May 1977) published by Marvel Comics written by Scott Edelman and drawn by Al Milgrom. Dr. Minverva belongs in a fictional race called the Kree. She is geneticist. She has superhuman strength and durability. She can pilot Kree Starship.

Gemma Chan plays the character Doctor Minerva in the movie. Gemma is famous for her roles in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) and Transformers: The Last Knight (2017).

A  copy of Captain Marvel #50 CGC 9.4 sold for $149.95 in July. There was no CGC 9.4 sold in September but there was a Captain Marvel #50 CGC 9.6 sold for $237.00 on September 4, a day before the pictures were released.  There was no CGC 9.4 nor 9.6 sold recently but there was CGC 9.8 sold for $177.50 on December 10.
