Pokémon Go game is still going strong because Niantic has an excellent November by grossing almost $80 million. This number is up from last month of $73 million but up from last November of $32 million. This was first reported by Sensor Tower. The game has grossed more than $2 Billion worldwide since Pokémon Go debuted in July 2016.
What contributed to the gross for the month of November? Niantic started out November with a bang with Special Raid Challenge (Gengar). 5 free raid passes and a chance of shiny, can’t beat that.
On November 10, Cyndaquil was the Pokémon for the month (ok, ok, just joking) by being the Pokémon for Community Day.
The raid boss, Giratina, was available through November 20. Afteward, we got Cresselia.
From 14th to 27th, Rhyhorn, Porygon, and Magby were present in 2 km Eggs curing the Sinnoh Hatchathon.
To celebrate Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee! Pokémon in the Kanto region appeared more often from 16th to 27th. Let’s Go Meltan special tasks were available.
From 23rd to 26th, Evolutions of Eevee—Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, and Umbreon were available in raid battle.
To end November, there was a Special Community Day Bonus! Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Eevee, Dratini, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Mareep, Larvitar, and Beldum appeared more frequently in the wild.
With so many exciting events in November, Niantic kept the trainers busy. That means more money for Niantic. Will December gross more than November?
