Review of Venom movie

Venom movie came out today October 5. A lot of fans were disappointed when the first trailer came out because there was no Venom. Sony didn’t disappoint fans when the second trailer came out.

This is my review of the movie. I actually enjoyed the movie. I heard a lot of critics were trashing the movie before the movie came out on October 5. I saw it on Friday afternoon. The beginning, middle and end of the movie were great. There was a never a boring moment. Most movies have a slow start but this movie was exciting from the start. It was worth the movie ticket. I went to AMC and they gave out a free comic book (see below).  I do want to disclose this, I am not being paid by Sony to said nice things about this movie.

Venom made over $80 million over the weekend in US and Canada. That’s impressive considering that this movie got 32 % on the Tomatometer on the Rotten Tomatoes website.

Venom stars Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock / Venom. Tom played the superhero film The Dark Knight Rises (2012), as Bane,

Venom first full appearance was  in Amazing Spider-man 300 published by Marvel Comics and created by Todd McFarlane and David Michelinie. Venom made a cameo appearance in Amazing Spider-man 298.

Venom also was in 2007 Spider-man 3 played by Topher Grace. Critics complained that Venom didn’t have enough screen time. In that movie Venom made a deal with Sandman to take down Spider-man but was defeated by New Goblin’s pumpkin bomb.

Amazing Spider-man 300 CGC 9.8 back in May could be bought for $2000 to $2300. Now some sold listings of Amazing Spider-man 300 CGC 9.8 were at $2601 on September 30 and $2650 on October 1. When a movie is about to come out, there are a lot of hype on the comic book too, that causes the price to go up. With the movie coming out today, we will see if this movie is a success or a failure. I will still watch this movie regardless of what the critics say. I will blog again when this movie comes out on DVD and check on the value of Amazing Spider-man 300 CGC 9.8 .

Enjoy the movie!
