Talos the Untamed is part of the Skrulls, a different species from another planet. They can shape-shift but Talos can’t. A mutation in the gene caused him not to be able to change but gave him super strength  For the movie, not sure if he can or can’t. The Skrulls first appeared in Fantastic Four #2 (January 1962) published by Marvel Comics and written by Stan Lee and drawn by Jack Kirby. The Skrulls like to invade Earth and have a war with the Kree, another species from another planet.
