Renee Montoya in Birds of Prey

Margot Robbie who played Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad said in early July Birds of Prey will begin production in January 2019 with Kathy Yan to direct the film with the screenplay by Christina Hodson. Kathy is an American and Chinese director famous for directing Groomed (2016) and Dead Pigs (2017). Kristina is an American screenwriter famous for her writing of  Unforgettable (2017) and Bumblebee(December 2018). In April 2018, DC Comics tapped her to write Batgirl movie.
Birds of Prey comic books published by DC Comics came out November 1995 titled Black Canary/Oracle:Birds of Prey written by Chuck Dixon and drawn by Jordan Gorfinkel. The original team was Black Canary and Barbara Gorden (former Batgirl)-now called Oracle. Other superheroes have joined and left. Huntress was a staple to this team.
We are now hearing that Harley Quinn, Black Canary, Huntress, Cassandra Cain and Renee Montoya will be part of a team against Black Mask. See my earlier post about Black Mask, main villain, in Birds of Prey
This blog will talk about Renee Montoya. She  first appeared in Batman #475 (March 1992) (see picture above- unfortunatedly she is not on the cover) published by DC Comics created by Sean Catherine Derek, Laren Bright and Mitch Brian. Renee is a trained detective for the Gotham City Police Department. She resigned from  the police department because she was outed as a lesbian. She later became the character Question.
I don’t think the Birds of Prey will go into the Question character. I might be wrong.
A  recent copy of Batman #475 CGC 9.8 sold for $69.95 plus shipping on August 5. Renee is a minor character in Batman universe. If you have the book, I would recommend to sell when WB cast that character.
