Doctor Minerva

Filming has wrapped up for Captain Marvel according to the directors, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The film will be released on March 8, 2019. Filming took 75 days, now it is onto CGI. The story is about Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) based in 1990’s. At the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury seemed to summon Captain Marvel for help.

This blog will talk about Doctor Minerva.  Check out my earlier blogs about Carol Danvers, Yonn-Ragg, Nick Fury, Ronan the Accuser and Korath the Pursuer.

Doctor Minerva first appeared in Captain Marvel #50 (May 1977) published by Marvel Comics written by Scott Edelman and drawn by Al Milgrom. Dr. Minverva belongs in a fictional race called the Kree. She is geneticist. She has superhuman strength and durability. She can pilot Kree Starship.

Gemma Chan plays the character Doctor Minerva in the movie. Gemma is famous for her roles in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (2016) and Transformers: The Last Knight (2017).

A recent copy of Captain Marvel #50 CGC 9.4 sold for $149.95.
