Filming has wrapped up for Captain Marvel according to the directors, Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck. The film will be released on March 8, 2019. Filming took 75 days, now it is onto CGI. The story is about Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel) based in 1990’s. At the end of Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury seemed to summon Captain Marvel for help.

This blog will talk about Korath the Pursuer.  Check out future blogs for the rest of the characters in the movie. Check out my earlier blogs about Carol Danvers, Yonn-Ragg, Nick Fury and Ronan the Accuser.

Korath first appeared in Quasar #32 (March 1992) published by Marvel Comics written by Mark Gruenwald and drawn by Greg Capullo. Korath belongs in a fictional race called the Kree. He is cyber-geneticist and owner of the Pursuer who build cybernetic warriors for the Kree army. He is known as Korath the Pursuer.

Korath appeared in the 2014 Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Korath works for Ronan the Accuser. Ronan stolen a magical orb and realized it was an Infinity Stone. Ronan was to steal it for Thanos and in exchange Thanos will destroy the Nova Corps. Ronan realized the power of the stone and kept it to himself. Ronan was planning to use the stone to destroy Nova Corps himself but was defeated by the Guardians of the Galaxy. Korath is believed to be destroyed by Drax the Destroyer during the battle.

Djimon Hounsou played the character Korath in the movie and will again be playing the character in Captain Marvel (2019).Djimon is famous for his roles in Gladiator (2000) and Blood Diamond (2006).

Raw copies of Quasar #32 can be bought on ebay for $5 to $15.
